Sustainability is our responsibility

The topic of sustainability comprises three dimensions at [bu:st] – economy, ecology and social responsibility. Sustainable business and action is an important part of our strategy. This is how we make our positive contribution to society and support the United Nations’ sustainability goals.

Safety, health and excellent quality management are among our corporate goals. We are proud that our quality management system is certified by DEKRA according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, our Information security management system according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and our health protection management system by VBG according to AMS and audited according to DIN ISO 45001. In addition, DEKRA has confirmed within the framework of a TISAX certification that [bu:st] group GmbH fulfills all security requirements of the cross-company testing and exchange mechanism of the Association of the Automotive Industry.

The training of our employees is very important to us. We give employees the opportunity to develop individually and personally. This way, we contribute to a harmonious coexistence in working life and society.

We attach great importance to occupational safety and the protection of our employees. We prevent hazards through regular training courses and internal audits, with the support of our occupational safety officer.

We are convinced that the further flexibilization of work and the virtual teams distributed in different locations will make digital leadership an increasingly important component of one's own leadership style. We are therefore pleased to take part in the research project “Understanding and being understood - effective communication in a virtual work context” in cooperation with WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management. With the analysis of virtual meeting communication, the aim of the research project is to research the communication between executives in meetings and to identify potential for improvement.

[bu:st] has been supporting the orphanage in Togo with donations in kind and money for years. We believe that the children living there should be able to shape their lives on their own and with conviction, and we want to help create the necessary conditions.

In March 2020, the federal government, in cooperation with seven civil society organizations, organized the #WirVsVirus online hackathon in order to develop concrete solutions in response to the challenges of the corona crisis. More than 28,000 participants developed more than 1,500 solutions within 48 hours.

After the #WirVsVirus Hackathon produced great, innovative solutions, it was about implementing the most promising projects. With the use of our skills and project management methods, [bu:st] was able to make a valuable contribution.

We are convinced that everyone can make a contribution to our environment. We are committed to the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement and have set ourselves the goal of being CO2 neutral by 2027.

It was important to us from the start to ensure that the office was designed in a way that conserves resources. The result is impressive! For example, the entire lighting is controlled depending on movement and daylight and we use 100% green electricity. Our employees support us in separating waste and thanks to GROHE Blue nobody has to lug boxes anymore. With us, the mineral water comes from the tap, because did you know that seven liters of water are required for filling and providing a 1 liter bottle of mineral water? It was only logical that the capsule machine had to give way to a fully automatic coffee machine that produces less waste. Two e-charging stations enable employees to get to work with an electric car. And for those who like it sporty, we offer a so-called "job bike".

The list is long, but not long enough! That is why we are constantly working on resource-saving office solutions in order to make our contribution to environmental protection!
